The agreement between Linea Comune and the MICC has proposed the implementation of a mobile application called Firenze Card Experience with the aim of creating a model adaptable to new types of information and museums.
After an initial analysis was proposed and agreed to test the application with the the contents of the Mediateca (Media library) of Palazzo Medici Riccardi for creating a prototype that has been able to rely on a database already available and suitable material to develop the content of one of the museums currently already part of Firenze Card circuit.
This choice has enabled the advantage of being able to lead the development and testing of contents of value actually used to give actual and real information on the contents of the museum.
The navigation system was integrated with advanced recommendations designed to enhance the user’s visit. They have been configured to be based in hybrid mode of similarity of users and on similarity of content.
The project ended with the release of an experimental application for mobile devices that allows navigation in the contents of the Palazzo Medici Riccardi.
