Paolo Mazzanti New Media for Cultural Heritage

His research interests focus on User-Experience and Digital Interactive Experience Design, Creative ideas for Museum Learning and User Engagement, E-motive Museums, Graphic/Web Design, Cultural Heritage Digitization.

Paolo Mazzanti is a researcher at MICC since March 2005.

He graduated cum laude in Theoretical Philosophy from University of Florence with a thesis on “Perception and Subjectivity in the Philosophy of Mind” (1999). Post graduated from the University of Florence in “Master in Multimedia Content Design ” (2001) and also in “Master in Planning and Communication of Cultural Heritage ” (2007) with a thesis on “Emotion and Learning in the fruition of the Cultural Heritage”.

He attended professional course for expert in digital cultural contents creation – Italian Digital Library e Touristic Cultural Network– ICCU – Ministry of Cultural Heritage- E-Learning2 2008 Project (2008).

His research interests focus on User-Experience and Digital Interactive Experience Design,   Creative ideas for Museum Learning and User Engagement,  E-motive Museums, Graphic/Web Design, Cultural Heritage Digitization.

He is NEMO – The Network of European Museum Organisations associate member representing MICC and he is part of NEMO’s working group network LEM – The Learning Museum.  ICOM Member – collaborating with the Tuscan Regional Coordination ICOM Italy and part of the  ICOM Italy Working Group “Multimedia and Emerging Technologies.”

Winner of @diversity European Competition in 2013 with the project named SMartART.

He has been involved in national and EU research projects related to Cultural Heritage among which UMETECH, 3DCOFORM, ENRICH, MICHAEL and ReInHerit Project
