Giuseppe Lisanti was born in Venosa in 1982 and has been living in Florence since 2001. He received the PhD degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florence in 2012 with a thesis on “Wide area surveillance with rotating and zooming cameras”, under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Del Bimbo.
He is currently a postdoc at the Media Integration and Communication Center of the University of Florence and his research interests focus on computer vision, pattern recognition and machine learning for person detection and tracking, person re-identification and face recognition. He works in tight collaboration with industrial partners, and with particular emphasis on technology and knowledge transfer.
